Statement Regarding Harrah’s Philadelphia

Today, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of many public facilities in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, due to local cases of COVID-19. As a result, Harrah’s Philadelphia will be temporarily closed effective at 6 AM tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 2020.

To be clear, there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Harrah’s Philadelphia to date. However, for the health and safety of our team members and guests, the casino and racetrack will close to the public beginning tomorrow.

This decision is a precautionary measure only, made to ensure we are in compliance with local rules and regulations. Harrah’s Philadelphia is closely monitoring this evolving situation and will work with local officials to establish a reopening date as soon as it is appropriate to do so. We look forward to welcoming back team members and guests soon. Caesars has implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols throughout our facilities, based on recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control. More information on those protocols is available here.
