House of Pain has forever etched its name in the annals of pop culture. Everlast, Danny Boy and DJ Lethal all went on to have successful careers outside of their work as a trio but they will forever be remembered as the squad that created one of the ultimate rap songs, “Jump Around.”
The party anthem has been heard in many movies including “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Happy Gilmore,” “Black Hawk Down” and “Central Intelligence.” Fans and teams from various universities have built traditions around the song. Professional athletes use it as warmup music. It is a song that sounds as fresh today as it did when it was released in 1992.
House of Pain is currently basking in the glow of their 25th Anniversary Tour, celebrating all the things they’ve accomplished over the years. Setlists have included cool covers, takes on solo songs from group members, and of course, “Jump Around.”
Whether you were a fan when it was first released or one who found it along the way, come "Jump Around" with House of Pain on Sept. 8 at The Block at Harrah’s Philadelphia.
