We recently visited Harrah's Philadelphia for the live racing. Of course, as avid gamblers we wanted to play the slot machines and video poker. We were so disappointed with the machines that were available in the Nonsmoking section. I enjoy the old style quarter machines and my husband likes video poker. Previously there was a row of quarter machines in nonsmoking but they have moved machines and now there are no quarter machines in nonsmoking. As for the video poker machines, there is an expansive section of machines in a smoking section but in the nonsmoking section there are 8 outdated and obsolete machines. This is not a place for someone who does not smoke unless you want to wear a respirator inside the casino. Even in nonsmoking sections, smokers walk through freely while smoking without consequence. We recently spent a week at Harrah's New Orleans which has a nonsmoking casino and it was wonderful. I can also suggest traveling 30-45 minutes south to Delaware Park Casino which is nonsmoking. I do not understand why Harrah's compromises the health of its employees and its nonsmoking guests by exposing them to a known carcinogen.
