Every year for the past 3 years, I've visited Reno once a year to stay at the Harrah's Reno. I wasn't going to make any bad reviews since bad reviews can impact a business a great deal. However, it's been 3 times that my wife and I had bad experiences. If I don't share it, Harrah's Reno will not know where to improve. I hope that this negative review is a positive feedback for improvement. My first stay, I was Diamond member. I was not allowed to check in before anyone since there is only one line, however, there is a Diamond check-in stand. That really annoyed me since I was in a rush and it's not cheap to be a Diamond member. I took a deep breath and let it go since it's not the employees fault. It is administration/owner's responsibilities. What got me more angry was when my wife took a shower, she got burned and had to hop out the shower real quick. The knob was not working properly. It will turn hot unexpectedly in an instant. My wife usually likes slightly cooler shower rather than warm so to turn form cool to super hot in an instance is bad. When I showered I got burned and hopped out. My wife said, "Oh yeah forgot to tell you, the shower knob does weird thing so you might get burned." I was like, "Too late, already got burned." It was already 1 am and so I thought there's no point in changing rooms since we are going home soon anyway. I didn't get to shower. I mentioned it to the attendant when I checked out.My second stay, I came as a Platinum member. I already know there's only one line and it don't matter if you are Gold, Platinum, or Diamond member just wait in the same line. I wasn't annoyed since I already got the understanding that Harrah's Reno don't care. this time I check the shower, room, sink, toilet, etc... Ok.. everything all good. Later in the evening I went downstairs to buy a beer from the bar. I saw him serving beers to everyone there at the counter and some folks who is not playing was buying drinks from the bartender. I figured I'd buy one too while my wife was playing machines and I did not want to wait for the lady to come by. They usually take too long. So as I approach the bartender, he told me "If you want to buy a drink, you go over there." He pointed to the entrance of the Joy Luck Noodle Bar. I was like, "Oh sorry. I thought we can just buy drinks here." I went into the Joy Luck Noodle Bar and waited in line. 10 minutes later, i was up next and they told me, "Sorry, we don't sell alcohol in here. You'd have to go buy it from him, the bartender." they pointed to the same guy who told me to come buy drinks from them. I said, "But he told me to come to you." They told me "Sorry". I was frustrated so I decided to play machines and just let it go. It's not worth the fight. I spent a couple of hundred in the machine and usually I have some change in the machine but in this case it evened out on my last hit to zero credits at the same time the drink lady stopped by so i said "Yes" for cocktails when she asked. She looked at my machine and said " Sir you have to play in order to get a complimentary drink." I said, "I am playing." She said, "You have no credits." I was speechless since she is right that i have no credits left however she is wrong that I wasn't playing when I just lost $200. SO FRUSTRATING!!! I told myself to just calm down, it's not her fault. It's part of her job. It the responsibilities of Harrah's Reno, not the employees. I went to the convenient store and bought a case of beer instead.My 3rd stay which was this past weekend and it was my wife's bday too. It was a small incident that happened but it was the last straw. We decided to shower in the morning before we check out. We needed two more towels so we contacted housekeeping for towels. We waited and couldn't wait anymore so my wife showered hoping they bring towels soon. She usually likes cooler showers. She took 10-15 min to shower and then use a face cloth as her towel. I went in to shower and the water was super cold. I told her "Wow you like cold showers but not this cold." She said, "Um there's no hot water. I think it ran out. Either that or the shower is broken." I was furious. I hopped out and check the sink. NO HOT WATER EITHER!!. I was like...Ok no hot water no towels....let's just check out and go home. i'll shower at home. when we opened the door to leave the employee finally brought us two towels. We left it on the sink and went to check out. I mentioned it to the attendant that there was no hot water and towel were an hour late. She said "Oh...we'll look into it." So I finally asked for a review card. I'm still going to fill that out. I will also post it on social media.Harrah's Reno only care about your money not not you. I don't care about the money I put into playing slots. It's about having fun. However, if customers come and spend lots of money on you, at least give them a great enjoyable experience to take back. Show them you at least cared just a tab.
