SOMMELIER WILL BURTNER, CS

In 2006, Will and his wife moved to San Diego where he began studying wine in depth while working at West Steak and Seafood in Carlsbad. After gaining more experience as a wine buyer and sommelier for the Carlsbad Wine Merchants and then working through the ranks as a captain, manager and wine educator for Donovan’s Steak and Chop House, Will was hired to manage the Steakhouse at Azul in La Jolla and oversee their beverage program. After two years with the Steakhouse at Azul, Will accepted the position of manager/sommelier with Fiore Steak and Seafood where he continues to pursue his passion of guest service at the highest level. Will also has a weekly segment on Fox 5 News in San Diego, “Wine Wednesday,” and he feels lucky to be able to share his enthusiasm for wine.
