Stayed here for 4 nights. Requested a view of the lake when checking in, which was granted but had to wait for a clean room to become available. It was definitely worth it for an awesome lake view. The room was clean, yes outdated but acceptable. I enjoyed having a his and hers bathroom! I think it's the best part of having a room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe! All the employees wore masks and I can tell the employees were a bit overworked. They didn't seem happy to be there. Interestinly, the hotel only does temperature checks of people checking in at front desk...not everyone in the party is checked. Also, no one coming into the casino is checked for temperature. There were no temp checks at any of the restaurants either. This is quite different from California. The Starbucks in the lobby is overpriced compared to the Starbucks down the street. The food options were rather limited but it was sufficient. We dined at Friday's Grill and the cafe. Both were adequate. The food court was ok too. Our best meal was off property at an authentic Italian restaurant Capisce that was recommended by our Uber driver. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola, which is the main reason we chose this hotel. We went snowboarding while there, and it is an easy walk from the hotel. There are many options to eat at the Heavenly Village, though during covid, it is currently all take out on the California side. On the Nevada side (hotel), all sit down restaurants require a reservation for dine-in.

We stayed through New Years. The location in the center of town was excellent. The rooms were tattered and shabby. The Wallpaper was torn in several places and taped up with packing tape. Furniture was scuffed and chipped; mildew in shower. COVID conditions, so no room clean up (understandable) but ZERO alternative plans for trash pick up - it was left out all over the halls and not picked up overnight. All restaurants were rsvp only & take out -again great, but again very poorly planned— restaurants took so many to go orders they could not serve reserved tables and we waited for reserved tables and/or food once seated a minimum of 3 hours anywhere in Harrahs or Harvey’s because the kitchen could not clear the floor with so many to go orders accepted. The staff was evenly divided between over the top excellent customer service and very obviously would rather have been anywhere else. All in all - the room conditions did not match the extreme holiday pricing we paid. We would likely not book here again until the promised renovation occurs.

Wifi Review:The wifi download speed is 1.25 Megabit per second and the upload speed is 0.27 Megabits per second. The wifi's "basic package" for $14.99 is way to slow to be considered "basic", its more like feces/garbage. I haven't tried their "premium package", but its eight dollars more for a total of $23.00. The best part is that you have to pay those wifi prices every day, unless you have their daily package included with your trip, but honestly their wifi is feces/garbage. In addition, they have no ethernet port on the wall to connect my computer to their ethernet, so I was using a wireless connection when I tested everything and wrote this review.Bathrooms Review:My room had two bathrooms, and both had the European toilets. Meaning these are much lower than your typical American/USA toilets, which I didn't like. If you're going to have two bathrooms, than why not make one of the toilets an American toilet just incase your guests are Americans. In addition, the sinks for both bathrooms, were way to low for comfort, and I'm a pretty tall guy. Also a warning to anyone over 6 feet and 4 inches in height, both the bathrooms are not suitable for anyone over that height, so you have to constantly bend down just to be able to even stand in the bathrooms if you are over this height.Eating/Food Places Review:Their are only three food places in the food court. Those places are Fat Burger, a no name pizza place that charges six dollars a slice (the pizza was too oily even though it was pepperoni I bought), and a no name Asian place. By no name I mean they are not popular places, like Mcdonalds and etc. I haven't been to the restaurants, but I believe the restaurants have good food. I personally recommend going outside the Casino to eat, because their are not many options in this Casino. The Room:The thermometer in my room does not work. I tried changing the temperature, but it kept on going back to 72 degrees Fahrenheit, after a minute. Its a pretty big room, and it has various lighting options, but the lights above the beds making a buzzing sound when turned on. In addition, the TV is really small, and the brightness on my TV was really low for some reason. I tried fixing it with the remote, but like all Casino's they don't let you do that. Also the TV has no Chromecast support, so I recommend you bring your smart device in order to have a smart TV, because their TV is old. Speaking of old, their whole room is really old fashioned in style. I honestly didn't like the room's old looking style.Anything Else Bad Review:They don't give water for free, so you would have to go get ice from the machine and let it melt in order to have free water. You can also always ask the workers that come around when you are playing a slot machine to give you water, but thats pretty garbage. I wish I could just refill my water bottles somewhere, but now I have to either constantly repay for water, or work hard just to get some water. Warning bring a ton of water so you don't pay for it.

For 200$ baseline a night I expected more. Had to pay extra for wifi, and a fridge. No microwave to heat up leftovers. Wooden furniture looked worn and needed a new paint job. The casino service was mediocre. Me and my girlfriend played slots for 3 hours and never got any drinks. When asked for some the server told us to ask somebody else who wasn't responsible for our area. Overall a disappointing trip.
