Made reservation at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe -Engagement :). A maintenance emergency at Harvey's so they (Harvey's) transferred my reservation to Harrah's, stating that there would be no additional charges...but Harrah's tried...First encounter at hotel front desk (in casino): promised that I would not be charges extra. When I asked if they knew what happened at Harvey's, I was told it is not there responsibility to know and that I would have to contact Harvey's...ok, fair enough...even though they are both Caesar properties. Second encounter: asked about wireless internet charges at the front desk (next day) and was told that they were part of the resort fee, and that a charge will be added to my bill, but that it would be removed at checkout (4 devices included per day for with the room wifi). Third encounter: checking out...this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in my life. First, I meet Jennifer at the front desk (immediately rude). She handed me the bill, I reviewed it and noticed it was incorrect (I reserved with "special rate"). I asked her and she stated that there was nothing she could do unless I had physical proof. I quickly brought up the reservation in both my email and the Caesar App. Jennifer's response was that she could not accept that and that I would have to fax something. 15 minutes later, in comes another person (I could not get her name as she hid her name tag under her hair). Just as rude, she stated that she knows nothing about the app (a Caesar's App, ...the company she is employed by), that the email would not suffice, and that I would have to get something on "paper". She also added that "anyone could have put that app on your phone"...what!...I put the app on my phone the day I arrived here. This is total insanity~! Of course, I looked at her in awe. They insisted that I leave and handle it from home...nope, didn't budge. Finally, it seemed that they had a realization that they were way incorrect and rude, and offered to correct. Also, during this time, an employee named Jeffery was extremely rude, siding with the girls. I get home: now I am charged even more for the room than I was originally (in process of disputing). The hotel was clean for the most part: normal trash around that you would find in a hotel within a casino. The staff was rude except for Joseph (midnight) who helped me with a noisy party room above me. I would this hotel avoid if possible!!!She said yes!

The hotel is nice but could use updating. Loved the two bathrooms. The casino is ok. Have to wear masks at all times and they come around and yell at people if they don’t have a mask on. My fault, I left a cube with various clothing items in the top drawer. I called the day after we returned home and was told it had been found. I paid $30 to have the little package returned to me and one item had been taken from the cube and not returned. I was sure disappointed because, of course, that was the item I most wanted back.
Huge disappointment, won't return.

I have been to Lake Tahoe many times and decided to stay at Harrah's this trip. Never again!First, don't go to Harrah's if you are handicapped. You can either park 100yds away or pay $15 for valet parking. You will be charged $28.95 per day for a "resort fee" on top of the room price. I'm not sure exactly what you get for that $28.95 but I can tell you that you do not get convenient parking, you do not get in room coffee, you do not get maid service, you do not get room service and you do not get usable internet unless you are OK with .12mbps download. That's right, POINT 12mbps.The room was dated, worn, and well passed it's prime. The TV is old and the remote was so worn out that the buttons rarely functioned properly. We had dinner at the coffee shop. $40 for 2 french dip sandwiches and 2 cokes which the waiter brought with his mask below his nose and his thumb in my french fries. The front desk double charged me and I had to go down and get that straightened out. Conclusion: Fail

We went to Lake Tahoe for our anniversary and just to get out of town after a winter of being cooped up. As a Total Rewards member, our rooms were comped so that helped in our decision to stay here (full disclosure). Rooms are nothing special but are spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly, concierge is very helpful in booking day trips, etc. Not a lot of food choices here--food court with a couple places, a typical diner, and a pretty high end joint on the top floor which was delicious--but you should have a reservation. The real draw here is the casino. Large array of games, decent limits on the tables, lots of various denominations on the slots. Cocktail service is a bit slow, but the drinks are good when they arrive. It is also a good place to use as a base to explore the are--can drive around the lake to the various other resort towns or just hang in town at the many bars.
