I stayed at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe this trip since the conference I was attending was at the hotel. The hotel and some of the rooms at this hotel are very dated and reminded me of the older hotels in Las Vegas (picture the Riviera, before it was demolished.)Hotel Lobby/ Casino: As i said the hotel is very dated and in need of an update, ASAP. Various furniture is worn, in disrepair, or damaged. The casino has a lot of slot machines for those that like machines. It also has a good amount of table games, although not all of them are open all of the time. They do have a high rollers room and also 2 different bars. Rooms:For those who are just looking for a cheap room and don’t care what type or where it is they offer a value room. They assign your room at check in.Executive: This is the room I chose and regret it! The photos made the room look OK. It was far from it! The room was very old, had several things broken inside the room (furniture was damaged/ severely scratched, broken remote, the ironing board was completely broken.) I reported a few items, however the others I let go due to the fact the only time I was in the room was to sleep or shower. If these rooms were updated the hotel wouldn’t be as bad and I feel they would get more bookings. Premium: This is a more modern room and I briefly saw the inside of one. From the looks of it, way better than mine! I would recommend this one over the others. The convention area of the hotel: standard convention area, no problems.Restaurants:Strongly would suggest the Forrest Buffet on the 18th floor. I didn’t have the Buffet but this is where lunch was served and the views were amazing! If anything else, go just for the amazing pictures you will get. I did not go to any other restaurants in the hotel so can’t speak to them. They do have a food court thay stays open semi late- some until midnight some until 1 am. They have a Starbucks inside the hotel that is open 24 hrs a day!Pool/ spa: Did not use or see. One cool thing is that there is a tunnel that connects Harrahs to Harveys which is across the street. In the tunnel there is a Mexican Restaurant inside. Harveys has a Cinnabon and 2 Starbucks! Overall this is an OK hotel but I feel needs an update ASAP to stay relevant. The staff are very friendly and were there to assist me any time I asked. This is the one thing that the hotel is excelling in and I would not change a thing about them!
