We stayed here for two nights; it was a last minute plan, so most places are already booked for the long weekend, so we didn't have a lot of choices. This was our first time and will most likely be our last. The goods:- Location - a great location. Walking distance to Heavenly, and bars/restaurants/clubs- Room is pretty good size. I am not sure if our room is standard or an upgrade since we booked through Orbitz, but the room is pretty spacious and it comes with TWO separate bathrooms. We are used to having our own sinks in our master at home, but having two completely separate bathrooms with two separate showers and two separate toilets was awesome. Who knew that having two separate toilets in the master was pretty much what we have been missing this whole time for a perfect bathroom :) Can definitely be improved:- The room was reeked cigarette despite the non-smoking room. We are non-smokers so this is a big deal to us. We tried to get rid of the smell with room refresher but to no avail. Actually, the whole casino reeks of cigarette. We have been to Las Vegas enough times to know that is normal part of casinos, but Las Vegas hotels definitely do better job at covering the smell. Here, as soon as you step in, you are greeted by cigarette smell. - No coffee marker. i don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel with no access to coffee makers in the room. If you are coffee drinkers like us, you have no choice but to spend $$ on the 24 hour Starbucks downstairs. They sure take advantage of this though as the Starbucks pricing here is highly inflated. - Resort Fees - besides the very very slow internet, what exactly does the resort fees cover? We were charged separate parking fees. Shouldn't resort fees cover parking at least? - On our last day, there was no hot water. Only after we complained that we were informed that they were aware and that they would reimburse us one day of parking fee. - Staff is generally uninterested. While waiting in line to check out, I overheard the staff arguing with another guest over some room. Apparently they had been told to check back for a better room that day by another staff and the staff that was helping them at this time pretty much accused them on lying. Not the best way to handle customers in hospitality business for sure. While this didn't happen to us, the way he spoke to them really rubbed me the wrong way. We have stayed at enough four and five star hotels to confidently say that there's no way this should be considered a four star. Even three star is pushing it. While the location is ideal, we will not be staying here anymore. The lack of service and facilities and high fees for who knows what really left bitter taste in our mouth.
