Let me start by saying I'm not really picky, I've stayed in a few hotel rooms that were sketch at best. We arrived at 3PM and were told the room wasn't ready and they will call us when it is. Fair enough, went to the casino to kill time. Almost 1K later and NO drinks we went back to the desk at 5PM.. Finally. Went to the room and I literally laughed out loud and grabbed the phone "this is a view room???". Yep, it was the best they could do. My view was the top of a building with VERY loud HVAC systems running. Dirty bathroom, BIG stains on carpet, toilet was not attached to the floor. I tore the sheets back to check for socks or undies in there! Tired, thirsty and now down 1K we decided to just call it a day and go find food. Next morning, hop in shower. CLINK< the showed nozzle fell off. Still laughing... and thinking what a s@!# hole. Get dressed and go to front desk and hand her the nob.. She was like oh my. They attempted to move us to the 11th floor. I packed bags and waited in hallway by the room while hubby comes back with a new key. He comes back with bellman.. I'm thinking you gotta be kidding me. The manager actually felt sorry for us and moved us to a suite! Finally, at least the room was better. Even had a coffee maker! Long and short: they did redeem themselves and upgrade us to a functional room. Gambling at Harveys and Harrahs SUCKS. I'm a major gambler and it made me stop gambling. We drove to Reno to play. The hotel needs to be updated and they were beginning the week we were there. Go to Tahoe, it's worth the trip. Don't stay here until they upgrade it ALL> It was my 50th birthday. No comps, no free play. Really?
