6-6-2020 approximately 12am, First time back since 2019, NOT returning. Bad staff attitudes, didn’t know they checked purses. The the security girl snatched my purse zipper open so harshly, I’m thankful the zipper didn’t break. Then she found a cookie, yes 1 cookie wrapped in plastic in the bottom of my backpack purse. She then said in a very angry loud voice “YOU CANT BRING A COOKIE IN HERE, YOU HAVE TO TROW IT AWAY, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO.” Wow really! There may have been a sign posted saying Horseshoe is checking purses for food, or no food allowed but I didn’t see any such signs giving her permission to check my purse. I thought it was going through a scanner or something. Well I gave her (security) my 1 cookie then entered the casino, and I ended up walking right back out because after being treated in such a negative way and put on blast over a cookie, the casino vibe was gone at least for Horseshoe. Horseshoe you will loose a lot of good customers over the simple stuff that can be avoided.

I arrived and was asked to take out my ID. Security said the person on the ID was not me. I assured him it was. We proceeded to wait 20 min before I was cleared. When I got to my poker table I forgot to post my Big Blind. The dealer said "What is this your first time?" in a gruff tone. You could tell she was not happy to be working. Staff is unfriendly and not helpful.

Not bad, can be improved. I came here on opening day, and this was my second time (some 5+ years later). The chips are a bit sticky for table games, and the place has an overall sticky feel to it. Maybe they need to turn on the air conditioners a bit more. During COVID, you're required to wear a mask (they can provide them if you forget), and the place kinda smells like smoke even though I didn't see anyone smoking (or even if it's allowed). But they have al the table games, and all the digital slot machines on two floors. Blackjack is mostly 6-5 payouts vs 3-2 payouts (which is a terrible bastardization of the game, but appears to be happening across many casinos on the East Coast and perhaps beyond). They reserve the 3-2 payouts for larger minimum tables (e.g. $50 tables) which is terrible. They also have a poker room, which seats 8pp per table (plus the dealer) but getting a seat at the 1-3 table was tough being that the staff wasn't around to open new tables. Only 25% of the tables appeared to be running, and the waitlist was over 12pp. So, we skipped poker. In all, a fun spot, but not the best spot in town.
Big and clean - downtown Baltimore - easy access
