A for Assistance is a phone call/text away!

I am Anya Jackson and I am happy to say that I have been employed with the company since 2003. What started as a summer job at Louisiana Downs has turned out to be a rewarding career! I am a native of Shreveport, LA.  I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Alcorn State University. During my matriculation at Alcorn, I became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. After college, I returned home to work on an MBA at LSUS after which I applied for a summer job at Harrah’s Casino. The rest is history!  My outgoing personality and passion for people has enabled me to develop a career in Marketing. If you’re on property, you can generally hear me laughing before you actually see me (a typical Leo trait)!!  I try to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude and have been told that I am a great listener. I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, traveling and developing plant-based recipes. Enough about me, I am eager to get to know YOU.

Contact me so that we can work together soon! I would be delighted to make your acquaintance.

Executive Casino Host, Rachel, standing in the Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel Lobby

Hi! My name is Rachel Pope and I am an Executive Casino Host at the Horseshoe in Bossier. Since 1996, I have been extremely fortunate to work with some of the sweetest VIP guests while planning their trips to our property, I grew up in Minden, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1994. Go DAWGS! When I am not at the Horseshoe, you can catch me and my husband carpooling our 15-year olds (boy/girl twins) or playing with our 2 very lazy French Bulldogs, Winnie and LuLu.

rob

Hello, my name is Rob! I became a member of the Louisiana National Guard right out of high school. I enrolled in college upon my return from basin training. A short time after began my career at Horseshoe Casino in May 2001 as a bellman in the hotel.  In 2003, I was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Following my return, I held the position of Bell Captain and later, Hotel Manager.  While in that role, I took an interest in Casino Marketing. I made the move to Casino Host in 2008 and became an Executive Casino Host shortly after. After eight years of dating, my wife Casey and I decided to tie the knot and have been married since 2010.  Together, we have an eight-year old son Jake.  In my spare time, I enjoy remodeling my house and working in my yard. I’m also an avid fan of the LSU Tigers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Chicago Cubs. I really enjoy my job and getting the chance to visit with guests. If I can be of assistance, please let me know.  We look forward to seeing you at the Horseshoe Bossier City.

sanela

Hello, I'm Sanela! I’ve been with the Horseshoe for 16 years, starting in Public Relations and Internal Communications before moving to Casino Marketing. I’m from Bosnia, but I have spent most of my adult life as a “citizen of the world,” living in Germany and in the USA. I’ve been married to a Serbian for 26 years and I’m a proud mom of two handsome and smart young men who attended LSU in Baton Rouge. My husband and I own a couple of local fine dining restaurants and we love good food and an occasional glass of Cabernet. I take pleasure in traveling, reading, shopping for purses and shoes, but my real passion lays in providing great, personal service and building relationships.

joey

Hello, I am Joey! I have been with Caesars for 25 years. I opened up Harrah’s Shreveport back in 1994 and started as a Box Person. I worked my way up to an Executive Host in 2005. I really enjoy hosting. I love to meet and work with my guests and have made lasting friendship with many of them.  This position has been a true blessing. I have be able to take many trips with my guests and see a lot of the United States in doing so. Playing golf and working out keeps me busy while I am not on the job. I have been married for 37 years with 2 amazing and beautiful daughters and an adorable granddaughter.
