Everyone is kind and friendly here. I have only had one bad experience at this property and it was my own fault for locking my car keys in the trunk of my car before valet reopened. Security was awesome and assisted me. Other than that everything is great here. If I had one complaint, it would be I could not stay longer..

After reading reviews I was a little nervous about staying here, we had comped rooms and this would be our first time staying here. I was pleasantly surprised at our room. 2 queen, 2 accent chairs, desk area, fridge, safe and a bench but no coffee maker and no microwave. It was pretty clean, everything was in good shape, the fridge worked well. When I felt the beds they were really soft but I actually slept well in them and didn't wake up with a sore back. I take my own pillow nowdays, I don't even feel the ones in the rooms. The bathroom was clean and in good shape. My big negative is the huge bathtub. It was a little difficult to get in and out of. Please make sure you put a towel down to stand on or get a rubber mat for the tub. The tub is super slick. I got in the shower and then turned on the water the first time and I could not believe how slick the tub was. Thankfully there was a towel right there to put down. The only other negative is we could not get hand towels in the room, we had a couple to begin with, one I used on the tub floor the first day. They would bring multiple bath and face towels but no hand. The restaurants had good food. The casino was clean but I didn't have much luck in there. Based on this trip, I would stay here again.

Unfortunately my work trip turned out to an evacuation trip due to hurricane Ida. Slept in car Saturday night waiting for my room reservation on Sunday. Finally got a beautiful comfortable room but my service dog didn’t meet criteria for entering the casino so I was limited to my room. Then the reservation that I thought I confirmed until Wednesday was suddenly incorrect. I did notice the reservation jumped a step when I made it online. We’ll anyway my room rate also jumped to $309 a night. I was told rudely by the front desk person that I had to check out or I could stay with the rate of $309. After being surprised about the reservation for two nights instead of three and told by the city officials not to return I was just speechless when I told this to the young lady she replied, Your scheduled to check out is in the morning.” Such little compassion at a time like this for Caesar’s to offer. I don’t understand. If I was gambling all night I would have gotten a comp.

Have been going to Horseshoe several times a year, over the last 10 + years. Only went 2 times last year in June and and August because of the Covid-19 Virus. This was our 1st time to BC this year. Had no offers from Horseshoe, but came anyway, because of the 5 X Tier Credit multiplier for August 26 - 28. Thought after getting 1,000 Tier credits (not counting their extra 1,000 bonus) for a couple nights, that they might add some food credit on to our room. That ain't happening any more! Told to use my Reward Credits. Not wasting my Points at their Burger Bar - where it is 2 for 1 ratio. The steak house is over priced, and don't like their Asian Restaurant. Just received some Email offers for Horseshoe that start in September - which is a little too late. Also, we had to go to Total Rewards to show our Drivers License to verify that we were the right persons using our TR Cards, and they had to verify our pin numbers. Their machines didn't recognize us! To top it all off, I had a ticket of a little over $1,100 from a slot machine, and the cashier needed my ID and and an ok from her supervisor to pay me. My wife and I are already Platinum Plus for next year. Been to NOLA twice, LV twice, Laughlin once, Lake Tahoe once since March of this year. It is a lot easier to catch a flight of 1 1/4 to 3 hours to any of those. Because it takes 7 1/2 - 8 hours just driving to BC. It ain't worth coming back here. Good bye Horseshoe! The bed in room # 1906 sure needs to be upgraded! It had a valley and several big lumps in the mattress, making it hard to sleep on. Only 1 of the 3 pillows was any good. It took 1 1/2 hours for someone to come reset the safe for us. Called down 2 times, and had to go down 1 time. Never had to wait that long before, even in LV. Also, you couldn't read the AC Control - just had to guess with the unmarked dial. And had to ask several times for a rubber tub mat to keep from slipping. Sure miss going to the Original Horseshoe Hotel and Casino. And also Javier who moved over to Margaritaville. The "Good Old Days Are Gone"!

The once proud Horseshoe is stuck in the 1980’s. There appears to be no attempt to upgrade carpets, room fixtures, curtains, wallpaper and especially lighting - it just feels dingy and dirty. The beds used to be good but are so soft they’re now uncomfortable. The entire place is just not an enjoyable place to spend much time. I only go there to play craps and the dealers are OK but certainly not the friendliest I’ve encountered. Good luck getting a simple cup of coffee in the mornings - I don’t know what time the ONLY coffee shop opens but I passed by just before 0700 and all was dark? Customer service is near ZERO. Everyone there is getting a paycheck and portrays that attitude openly “ I’ll check you in, serve you, make your bet, etc.”. If you’re lucky?
