We checked out today after a 2 night stay. Our room was very clean, well supplied with the necessities, and staff was quickly ready to accommodate any request for additional items. Room service was available for breakfast and orders were delivered before estimated delivery time. 8oz Burger Bar waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive during the meal. Front desk staff, housekeeping and casino staff were very polite, attentive and willing to meet our needs. At this time there is no valet parking. There are an abundant number of sanitization stations throughout the premises.

Just a few notes about or recent visit to the Horseshoe Bossier City.... we come here often - about once a month - from the Dallas area, and have come to love the place. Spent the last few Christmases here with family even. Wanted to make a few observations about how things are going during COVID. - We've loved that the pool is hotel guests only at the moment. It's fun but accessible, and even though it's an unorthodox method to get your initial drink (calling the bar that's twenty feet away) once you get a server out with your first order service is fast, friendly, and drinks are reasonably priced, especially for a casino pool. - We miss the VIP/Diamond Lounge horribly. Service in there was incredible, we'd come to know them all well, and we miss them and the lounge. Such a great place to relax, watch a game, etc. Can't wait for its quick return.- Rooms may be slightly dated, but they're large, well kept for, and the beds are always comfortable. - The buffet is closed at the moment, sure, but between 8 oz., the Bazaar (sneaky great pizza), and Jasmine's, there are plenty of options. Of course, Jack's for a steak if you're feeling froggy. Also a lot of great places in walking distance (I see you BeauJax).- I do miss Ivy, the virtual concierge via text. This was always an incredibly handy feature, and I'm not sure why it's gone away right now, especially with so many operational questions. I don't think this is Shoe specific - stayed at another Caesars property in July and she wasn't there either. - Casino is fun as always. Some new slots, some not so new. The VP bar - which i love - seems to be hit or miss on if it's open or if the machines are functional. WIsh they had a bigger one. I miss the beer cart server, that was always so useful when needing a beverage, but I guess somehow that was a COVID casualty as well. All in all, this is still my favorite spot in Bossier and it feels like home. I miss things like the VIP Lounge, Buffet, and Whiskey Roadhouse, but it's still more than worth a trip in these difficult times.

My husband and I went there for my birthday weekend. I booked in advance for two nights and only stayed one night because I was so disappointed in the hotel. They only offer room service in the mornings and not in the evening due to COVID-19. (Why, because COVID is more contagious at night?). The next morning when I went to take a shower, the faucet handle fell off. AND, there was a used bar of soap in the shower. I expected more out of a CEASAR RESORT which is why we picked this hotel in the first place. We will not be returning.

Let me start by saying I've been at the Seven Star level in Total Rewards for the past 8+ years. It was usually achieved by visiting the Horseshoe in Bossier City twice a month and playing hard each time (ie playing slots for 14-20 hours at a time with maximum bet and little break time. I lost $$$$ but always had a great time with good food and drink. I managed to know many employees on a first name basis. Due to the pandemic I had not been here for several months. Louisiana is a Hot Bed of Covid activity and the numbers are CLIMBING! I decided to finally give in and give it a try. I wear a mask, use the hand sanitizer, wash my hands, etc. I left home and arrived at the Horseshoe at 3AM (it was a 3 1/2 hour drive). I went to the casino's bottom level and saw several slot players. What alarmed me is that most of them either had NO mask or the mask was around their neck! I thought Caesars said EVERYONE must wear a mask! Apparently that's just to get in....after you're in the casino it's just like the wild west. I asked one of the greeters (ie security) why he doesn't tell people to put their mask on (I personally thought it was a state law). He told me that he can just let them know that Caesars "advises" them to wear a mask.....he wasn't going to tell anybody they HAD to wear one. WHAT??? Why even have a rule then? I played hard until 7:30am and thought I'd check with the front desk to make sure my reservation was in the system (my host had made it for me a few days earlier). I had the UNFORTUNATE meeting with someone named "BRANDI". She had the ugliest worst attitude of anyone I've ever seen in 15+ years of coming to the Horseshoe!! I asked if I could check in at noon and the answer was "YOU CAN CHECK IN AT 2PM!.....PERIOD!!!". On the Caesars website one of the perks of Seven Stars is "Early check-in"....apparently they forgot to explain that the HORSESHOE in BOSSIER CITY is EXCLUDED from that perk!!! Her demeanor was sooooo awful I said to just cancel my reservation and I'm going (another 3 1/2 hours) back home. I hate to let an such a rude person like her ruin my morning (I was ready to play all afternoon AND night). It's people like "BRANDI" that drive players to start gambling at the Indian casinos in Oklahoma (CHOCTAW-DURANT and WINSTAR). I'm going to jump into THAT line! Ever since the previous General Manager (Mike) left and Eldorado Resorts took over, it seems like the fun and excitement I've had here for many years are no longer part of the Horseshoe brand. I'm not sure where Eldorado Resorts is taking the Caesars Entertainment name but it doesn't look good for players like myself. In this day of high unemployment and many people looking for a job, I find it hard to believe that BRANDI is the best this place can do. Respect is out the window...and great employees have left. So sad......
