Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel & Casino 

We had another great stay at Horseshoe ... we had a show in Bossier so decided to make this a business fun trip. Check in quick and pleasant ... given option of high or lower floor. Room 1108.Room was very clean and spacious. My hubs loved the jacuzzi tub. No coffee makers in the room right now. Or microwave (Wish they did we like to make breakfast in the room. The do have a large fridge that is an actual mini fridge not a "hotel" fridge so we didn't worry about losing our cooler stuff. Quick check put on the tv. Only one security issue ... I couldn't sleep Friday night so I went down to play a bit ... coming back a man with a sob story cornered me into the elevator alcove. I could handle it but it would have been nice to have some security around.

Rooms are fine , restaurants closed early, Bar was not even open. Getting drink service in casino was next to impossible, so basically having an adult drink at this location was all but impossible. Also after we checked out we get charged $100 on Amex, called and hotel said for possible incidentals, would be refunded in 4 to 7 days , also charged $19.72 resort fees to Amex after we checked out.

I've stayed here numerous times over the years and hardly had a complaint. However, this last stay was horrible. The rooms need an upgrade to say the least. The carpet in the rooms were filthy as if they hadn't been vacuumed. The bathroom floor had hair on it from a previous guest and to top it off, the toilet overflowed. The hotel did give me another room but my wife and I both noticed a bad sewer smell not only in the room but the entire hotel. I realize that covid has had an impact on services and employees but can they not complete the basic cleanliness ? Also, why am I paying resort fees and they don't even have free coffee in the rooms. I doubt that I will ever come back here. Oh btw, this bad review isn't because I lost money, as a matter of fact I left with about 2k of their money.

Everything about this hotel was dirty. The sticky elevator button, the light switches in the room, the hair in the bathtub and the trash beside the bed. I don’t know why this hotel has such a high rating. We were charged the resort fee but nothing is open. Be aware the buffets are closed, the gym is closed, the spa is closed, the pool is closed. There aren’t even any premium channels. I arrived an hour and a half early to the hotel wanting to check in but change my mind when I was told it would be $15 more to check in early. No coffee, No free breakfast. Stay somewhere else.

The "Shoe" continues to offer the best overall resort and gaming experience in the Shreveport/Bossier market - from the front desk to the gaming floor. High marks for all. A big salute to front desk agent Kelly, whose friendly smile and willingness to go the extra mile to find the right room for a picky guest makes it all worthwhile. Thanks for the fantastic service.
