First of all, this trip was to see Ailing Mom in Bloomington, Ill at age 91, one never knows how much longer an Elderly Parent has, right?? So, because I was here at Horseshoe Hammond a couple of years ago, I wanted to get back and explore some more. Great Variety of Machines and All Denominations!(Penny Machines at most casinos in Las Vegas or in a 30 cent minimum are an Endangered Species, No Problem at Horseshoe Hammond! Every kind of machine, Old style, new style, lots a Manufacturers from IGT, to KONAMI, to Bally's were there!! They actually have more Variety than last time I was at a Harrah's/Caesars in Las Vegas or Atlantic City!! My biggest problem was getting to the Physical Property itself this time as the Roads going in are way too much under Construction! Detour Signs take one the WRONG Way!...I bit my Tongue, drove 60 miles out of my way and eventually got there! (Phew!)..Parked(Free and Safe 2nd level) , went in and went to the Buffet which is awesome!. Not too crowded midweek, and the price is Fair! Service was good! Highly recommend!! I ate till I was full, Tipped the very attentive waitress, and proceeded to gamble downstairs for about an Hour...Only lost about $40, which is Not Bad when you consider most Casinos do not let you win EVER!!My Deep Down Beef is this: Where is the Hotel?? I live in Naples, Florida. last time I was here I asked a Security Guard, "Why is there no Hotel??" He politely said, Are you kidding?? 90% of the Patrons who come her live within 5 to 15 miles and we're always Busy!" So then I replied, "Great! So us folks from Out of Town have to go check in and pay for a cheap Hotel in a town we don't know?? Uhm, Ain't gonna Happen!" Aside from that, it's a Great Variety Casino with every Slot Imaginable!
