Nevada sports fans can now play legal Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) in the Race & Sports Books at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, Bally's Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Harrah's Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.
USFantasy is a skill-based fantasy wagering platform that combines elements of traditional sports betting with traditional DFS contests. Right now, it’s available for professional football games.
Just like in DFS, your players score points based on their performance in a live game. After that, it becomes a bit like horse racing in that you are betting on your athletes to Win, Place or Show.
There are seven different weekly fantasy contests that include athletes from the following skilled positions: Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Wide Receiver/Tight Ends.
There are also multi-athlete selection contests, which are more difficult to win than the single field contest selections. You need to pick at least two athletes to finish in a particular order. However, the potential contest returns are significantly greater. All contests require a minimum $1 entry fee.
The scoring for fantasy sports is simple: Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Wide Receivers/Tight Ends get one point for each positive passing, rushing or receiving yard. There are 30 bonus points for each touchdown and two bonus points for each two point conversion.
All fantasy sports wagers are placed in a pari-mutuel pool and distributed after all player performances are complete and tabulated. Final payout odds can fluctuate until the contest is closed at the beginning of the first real time sporting event. Because the wagering is done on a pari-mutuel basis, wagers on players that are bet on heavily won’t pay as well as ones on wagers with less action.
USFantasy also offers the weekly Million $ Seven pro football contest, with a $1 million jackpot. To win, you must pick the top fantasy-point producer for all seven individual weekly contests, If there is no winner, more than 20 percent of the amount wagered in the contest is paid out in consolation prizes.
USFantasy plans to also offer games on major professional sports including baseball, basketball, hockey, golf and NASCAR.
