LAS VEGAS (January 29, 2019) - Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: CZR, "Caesars Entertainment" or "Caesars"), the world's most geographically diversified casino-entertainment company, announces the setting of the first steel truss for CAESARS FORUM, a $375 million, 550,000 square-foot conference center in Las Vegas with the two largest column-free ballrooms in the world that will open in 2020. The over 300-foot-wide and 200-plus-ton steel truss marks the first of over a mile of trusses that will be used in construction. "This is an exciting step towards the development of CAESARS FORUM which will redefine the offerings for meetings and events in Las Vegas," said Michael Massari, Chief Sales Officer at Caesars Entertainment. "The setting of the first steel truss marks an important milestone in the CAESARS FORUM construction process. We look forward to seeing the grounds of CAESARS FORUM transform into a one-of-a-kind conference center," said Karyn Steenkamp, Vice President of Design & Construction atCaesars Entertainment.   Due to the large scale of each truss, the trusses are initially built by the manufacturer, cut into several pieces and then driven over to the Vegas strip where they are built back together again via crane. Additional one-of-a-kind features of CAESARS FORUM include:

  • 9,500 tons of steel and 2,000 tons of rebar;
  • 30,000 cubic yards of concrete footings;
  • 390,000 square-feet of carpeting that took 15,363 sheep to provide the wool, which was primarily sourced from the British Isles due to its durability;
  • 2,200 total wall panels and 650 total prefab exterior panels;
  • 2 miles of airwalls

Within walking distance to more than 20,000 Caesars Entertainment hotel rooms, connected to 5,000 Caesars Entertainment hotel rooms and adjacent to the LINQ Promenade retail district, this state-of-the-art and LEED silver-rated facility will provide a unique option for meetings and events. CAESARS FORUM will be the first facility of this size built on one level and is equivalent in size to twenty-seven tennis courts or three ice hockey rinks. It will also feature FORUM Plaza, the first 100,000 square-foot dedicated outdoor meeting and event space in Las Vegas. The conference center will be globally recognized for its sustainability with a LEED-Silver rating. Opening in 2020, CAESARS FORUM will:
