My room was occupied by another guest. I paid for early check-in, received my room key through the automated check-in system in the lobby. I used the key to get me in my room. When I got inside I found clothes, suitcases, messy bed, and random stuff sprawled across the floor. Thrash was everywhere and the room stunk. At first I thought I was in the wrong room, but then how did my key get me in the door. I doubled checked the room number on my way back down to check-in. I explained what had happened and was promptly given a new room. This is concerning to me for many reasons. If this happened to these people this could happen to me. What if these people were there and had weapons and thought I was robbing them. What if they were shagging or in the shower. Very scary to say the least. Certainly one of my worst fears come true in a hotel. How did this happen? Doesn't maid service inspect the rooms before they are released to new guests? This was my first time at the Paris, and they have a great hotel but at what cost.

Stayed at Paris for a week from 09/12-09/19/20. The bars opened the day after we left. I liked Paris. Our room and the hotel were pretty but I think they are using COVID as an excuse to eliminate too much staff and too many services. There was no room cleaning, no room service, reminders to put your mask on between puffs on a cigarette, etc. Truly nothing to do if you don't gamble. No shows, tours and very few activities. Far more restaurants were closed than indicated on their websites. I realize that many people will be focusing on the COVID changes but what impacted/bothered me more is the no smoking policy, even on the patios or outdoor spaces of restaurants. This apparently went into effect in January so I won't be returning to Las Vegas. We were harassed almost continually about smoking at Paris--there being no place inside (105 degrees outside) where smoking was allowed. We did sit down and played a machine so that we could sit and my son was harassed by a security guard for not raising his mask between puffs. I do think, in general, the employees in Vegas are remaining unbelievably positive in these difficult times.
