Stayed at Paris for a week from 09/12-09/19/20. The bars opened the day after we left. I liked Paris. Our room and the hotel were pretty but I think they are using COVID as an excuse to eliminate too much staff and too many services. There was no room cleaning, no room service, reminders to put your mask on between puffs on a cigarette, etc. Truly nothing to do if you don't gamble. No shows, tours and very few activities. Far more restaurants were closed than indicated on their websites. I realize that many people will be focusing on the COVID changes but what impacted/bothered me more is the no smoking policy, even on the patios or outdoor spaces of restaurants. This apparently went into effect in January so I won't be returning to Las Vegas. We were harassed almost continually about smoking at Paris--there being no place inside (105 degrees outside) where smoking was allowed. We did sit down and played a machine so that we could sit and my son was harassed by a security guard for not raising his mask between puffs. I do think, in general, the employees in Vegas are remaining unbelievably positive in these difficult times.
