Very nice place, warm friendly greeting from the Valet and the front desk clerk. Yes I waited for the front desk clerk, didn't use the kiosk. From a business point of view I understand the cost savings and the speed of not waiting for a front desk clerk, but with thousands of room at the hotel the computer will just assign the next room number. Also the computer can't tell me if I have a strip view, a pool view etc.

Check in was very quick, and our room was very large. The resort is very large, so it is very easy to get lost the first couple of days. They do offer free self-parking, which is on the other side of the Miracle Mile shops. We mostly walked up and down the strip, so hardly ever needed to get the car. The location is perfect if you want to be where the action is - right in the middle of the main strip. Walk north and you're 1-2 blocks from Caesars, Paris, Flamingo. Across the street is Bellagio, and going south, you're 2 blocks from MGM and New York hotel.

Check in: Typical of Las Vegas hotel experiences. Check in 3pm. Room not ready early.Electronic check in – much better than waiting in long line at check-in desk. Do this at the kiosks near the check-in desk. When you get a text or email that your room is ready, use the kiosk to get your keys. Saves time! If you have questions, call the front desk from your room.Room configuration and size: Ultra Hip Room, Premium Fountain View. This room and its bathroom are large. It has a King bed, with room for a small couch (not large enough to sleep on) on one side of the bed and the desk and dresser on the other side of the bed as well as plenty of room (5-7 feet) between the bed and the desk/dresser to walk to access the bathroom, closet and door. The television is on the wall opposite the bed also 5-7 feet from the end of the bed. This wall has two nice sized windows on either side of the television which look out at the Bellagio fountains. There is a small round table and two chairs in front of one window, from which it is easy to see the show without standing. Pricing, hidden fees: This room was roughly $225/night out the door with taxes and fees over a Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun night. The nights had different prices. This includes the resort fee. Most hotels on the strip have the resort fee. Don’t expect much for it. However, internet and access to the gym was available as part of the fee here. Room number, location: Room 1830. This room is the first room closest to the elevators. Note this is not the only room next to the elevators. Very convenient location due to its proximity to the elevator. No long hall walks. I liked the location quite well. I would recommend this room to a good friend.Noise: No noise, excellent. No loud hall talkers, no late night neighbor, no pounding above, no street noise. The only noise is the occasional whir of the elevator. It is almost like light white noise. My husband did not perceive it. The other very light noise is the light “boom” from some parts of the fountain show (which ends at 12pm). Again, almost imperceptible.Bedding: Very clean bedding, white cover and sheets. Very light accent pieces that are easy to set aside. The mattress was medium softness, feels memory foam, not sure. Definitely not springy or bouncy. You can’t feel the other person roll over or get into bed. 4 pillows on the bed. One extra blanket and pillow in the closet.Heating/Ac – temp control and noise: Temperature control in the room was excellent and stable. Thermostat is digital. Very low noise when turning on. Did not turn on and off frequently.Tables and seating including night stands, desk, tables, chairs: The room seating was exceptional. 7 people could sit on sofa or chairs without anyone sitting on the bed. Great room to have a small gathering!Plugs: Plenty. Every lamp had regular and USB outlets.Coffee bar, ice location: Excellent – not in bathroom. Not a minibar. A tray with glasses, ice budget. A coffee maker and coffee.Bathroom configuration Counter space – This room had two separate counter/sink areas. Luxurious. Shower head – Good pressure. No handheld. Shelf space in shower – Plenty of room for everything. Towels – quality, size, number – 3 bath, hand, wash towels provided. Why not 4? Provided toiletries – Shampoo, conditioner, gel, lotion daily. Shower cap. Soap.Hotel Restaurants: If you include the miracle mile shops there are plenty of options without going outside. However, once of the best breakfasts in town can be had next door at Paris in Mon Ami Gabi.Location convenience: Mid-strip. Excellent location for going either direction. However, allow plenty of time for travel as walking anywhere on the strip is slow, and indirect.Parking and Transportation : Uber friendly. Very quick and easy to get an Uber, but lots of traffic in the area so allow plenty of time for the ride.Compare to similar hotels nearby: I would choose this hotel over Paris due to convenience of the Miracle Mile small and the view. At Paris, when requested a Bellagio Fountain view, it was submitted as a “request” and the room assigned was actually facing away from the strip. At Planet Hollywood, when requested a Bellagio Fountain view, I got a beautiful full view from a seated position of the fountains and the strip!Check out: Express checkout – never ever had to go to the registration desk for anything

We have stayed here a couple times now and love it each time. The mile shops are great to kill some time and the shows at the v theatre are much cheaper then the name brand ones but are so good. There are many great restaurants within planet hollywood and surrounding it so you never have to go far to eat good. Nacho Daddy is definitely worth the visit. Our room overlooked the Bellagio fountain and strip so that was great. The cosmo in December has rooftop skating which is very cool. Planet Hollywood is very central I think. It is very easy to walk down the strip to New York New York and further or the other way to Ceasar’s and the Venetian. The casino is also my favourite, it’s louder and more happening. Not very many cheap tables unless your there earlier in the day but it’s a good atmosphere. I’ll definitely stay again.
