Room decent. Ameneties so so. Management phoney. Gaming areas dirty. Sportsbook right out of the 1980s. VIP hosts act like they want to make your stay better, but have no authority to do anything. What's the point of a fraud pretending to want me to be happy? Tell you what...next time I put a grand into a machine try to have the decency to let me get more than 21% back. I'm there everyday. Sportsbook is a gloomy 1980 cave.

Beautiful room on the 37th floor facing the strip! This is the best room so far as compared to the previous stays. We love how central and convenience Planet Hollywood is located. Bus stop is just 3 mins walk away. Many good Resturants within walking. We enjoyed the Gordon Ramsey Burger on site. The burger is what bringing us back every visit. The unnecessary lineup is rediculoous when the resturants has many many empty tables! I know diamond members can skip the line,as we were diamond, last year. This inefficient business model irritated your customer and you lost money. It should be escalated to the executives Gordon Ramsey for review.

most people thought I was mad wanting to spend two weeks in Vegas but actually there is a lot to do and I didn't want to stay in just one hotel. I decided to stick to the well known brands although I realise some of the smaller 'off strip' places will offer good value.Hotel 1 is Planet Hollywood, it's warm and the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and everything works. The bath takes a while to empty but it is like a small swimming pool and the shower lacked pressure but it's not a major issue. Location is fantastic but there are hobos and tourist tappers on the doorstep 24/7.There is a vague smell of cigarette smoke everywhere, not enough to invoke a gag reflex but noticeable and I suspect all the hotels will have this problem as smoking is allowed indoors. The air is therefore always slightly unfresh. The pool decks are closed in January whereas other hotels keep theirs open, even if it's just to lounge and catch a few rays of sunshine, something we Brits crave. Not to mention a bit of fresh air and a break from the smoke.Avoid rooms near the elevator/lift shafts, I actually thought it was planes taking off. There's no tea or coffee facilities in the room and a cup of coffee downstairs is expensive. Small Latte $5.75. Water and juice can be purchased at 24 hour stores just down the street. If you're trying to work the chairs in the room are desperately uncomfortable... I could have tried requesting a decent office chair.Room upgrades cost extra but my view down towards the Mandalay was fine, my view the other way was blocked by the front section of the hotel, anything over 24 wouldn't have this issue and you'd get a decent view of Caesars and the Bellagio too, I'm guessing. At this time of year the lack of outside space is a little claustrophobic but there may be other spaces I haven't found. There are staff but not ones that I really want to ask for a guided tour. Room service staff are efficient and friendly but there's still trays and trollies in the hall from yesterday. Food in the buffet didn't look very appealing so I avoided it, the breakfast is via Starbucks and lunches most likely the Burger Bar by Gordon Ramsey.I'm sure it's fine but none of it is particularly appetising especially with this smokiness.Resort fees are a bit of mystery and add massively to the overall tripIf my receipt says that I paid in full I don't expect to pay almost as much again at the hotel in these 'resort fees' especially for things a normal 4 or 5* hotel would include such as wifi or gym access. Having just read a review of the gym I won't bother to make the trek, it doesn't sound like it's the main focus of this hotel. Leaving me with the burning question, what are these 'resort fees'????hotel rooms in Vegas vary massively day to day, the Bellagio is cheaper this weekend than a lot of others, hence I'm going there nextOverall, Planet Hollywood is not a $100+ per night hotel, it just isn't, any glamour it once had has faded, but with the resort fee that is what I'm paying. On that basis I'd say AVOID staying here, pop in for curiosity value. In Europe hotels don't encourage people wandering in for a look but it seems quite normal here, probably because they want you in their casinos. I got lost in both the Aria and Cosmopolitan last night. Neither were even on my list.
