Check in was fine, but the room was a disappointment as it was run down and sorely in need of an update. Many shops and restaurants were not open. There was no restaurant open for a 7 am breakfast option. My one simple request for an extra pillow went unmet. Happy to find the room was cleaned after the first night. Check out went smooth. Front desk staff friendly. Sad to see this once great hotel in this shape.

We booked this hotel on their website for our anniversary trip. When we arrived to check in they did not have our reservation. We had our confirmation number and they said the reservation was not in our name but someone else's name and address was attached to our reservation with our credit card number. After the front desk person arguing with us, she was able to find us a room for our 3 night stay. They offered us a $10 food credit for our inconvenience and never offered an apology. We got to our room and while it was very large, it was very dated. The shower had mildew growing in the track of the door. The view was great but the window was filthy. I will never stay here again as there are so many to choose from in Vegas and I will never recommend this property to anyone.

Will never stay here again

Given wrong room told, that all the type I paid for was sold and too bad, the door broke and could not access room for over an hour then had to sit there for another hour while maintenance fixed it...More

Given wrong room told, that all the type I paid for was sold and too bad, the door broke and could not access room for over an hour then had to sit there for another hour while maintenance fixed it No staff, the majority of the pool complex. Was closed and then they kept the fountains off on the one pool that was open. Paid $300 for a cabana with a 20% gratuity and $175 minimum at the bar only to have our tv not work and told no refunds. Still charged full price for every thing and if you needed to ask a question or for help there was no staff to answer.

Took 3 hours to get luggage from bell desk yesterday as they never got the order even though we had text session with Ivy concierge and2 calls to the front desk. We requested to have room cleaned- didn’t happen. This is our 3rd visit to Rio and we are very disappointed.
