I hate to give negative review, especially if I feel like they tried or cared or if things were beyond someones control. None of these apply to this stay. And yes I did complain, to no avail.1. I...More

I hate to give negative review, especially if I feel like they tried or cared or if things were beyond someones control. None of these apply to this stay. And yes I did complain, to no avail.1. I booked our stay our 2 night stay on their website. It started our at a very reasonable $39 per night. but when the tax and the $39.68 (also the pool area was closed so not quite sure what the resort fee covered)2.We did valet parking and were told by registration desk to leave nothing in the care, since this was at the end of a two week road trip this was not welcome news, but what are you going to do.3. Since it was the middle of the week only a couple of restaurants were open (with only a couple of more to open for the weekend)4.The Penn and Teller show that was supposed to be on the nights we were there and they were cancelled5. On the second day, we went up to our room and could not get in, went down to reqistration, waited 30 minutes, got new keys. Went back up to the room, keys did not work, went down to reqistration, waited 30 minutes, was told I must have let the keys be by a magnet, my phone or credit cards. Went back up to my room, the keys did not work. The housekeeper on our floor tried to let us in ( after verifying us) and could not open the door. Went back to registration, waited 30 minutes, the woman at the desk, kept my keys, told me to go back to my room and wait and she would send up security to let us in and Maintance to fix the door. I did, my husband had been waiting sitting on the hallway floor. We waited, security came, could not open the door, left, came back later and let us in.. Where we waited and maintance came and fixed the door and then called down for keys to be brought up to us. (housekeeping, security and maintance were all very good and tried to help). As I said at the the beginning, I did complain at the front desk and it did not matter.Happiness was The Rio in our rearview mirror the next day.

Plus the walk over the bridge to the strip was full of trash and not safe at night for two women to walk. Nice view though through dirty windows!
