I stayed at the Rio All Suites Hotel in Las Vegas in January. Calling this hotel a 4 star is laughable. It doesn't come anywhere close to that. 3 stars would be generous based on the room I had. I was charged $250.00 US per night plus $36.28 in resort fees per day (even though all pools were closed despite their website saying they were open, and I called before leaving to make sure that the pools were open and was told that they were - so the customer service staff there are either untrained or told to lie.)The room was covered in stains, floor tiles were cracked, beds were worn out and sagging, the fridge didn’t work, the safe didn't work, strips of carpet were ripped up and heavily worn. The pillows were the worst I have ever had at any hotel ever. They were actually lumpy. This hotel is not even trying to keep their rooms acceptable – it’s a money grab.I travel frequently and have stayed at lots of different 4 and 5 star hotels and this is NOT a 4 star hotel. The hotel was booked through a third party website and we had free cancelation up to 2 days before. We were booked to stay for 6 nights and after 2 nights we wanted to change hotels (we were disgusted with this hotel) so we called down to give 2 days notice that we wanted to check out. They said we could not because we booked through a 3rd party, so if we checked out early we would lose all our money. Aside from the poor quality, there are numerous ethical issues here that make me recommend you don’t stay at the Rio All Suites.
