Injury Protection Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the Caesars Sportsbook Injury Protection promotion. Under this promotion, qualifying wagers placed through Caesars Sportsbook, whether online, mobile, or at a retail sportsbook location, may be eligible for Injury Protection treatment if impacted by a qualifying Injury Protection Event (as defined below). This promotion is offered by Caesars Interactive Entertainment New Jersey LLC, William Hill U.S. Holdco, Inc., or American Wagering, Inc. (collectively or individually "Caesars"), depending on the jurisdiction.

Definitions:

1. "Injury Protection" means the promotional feature described in these terms and conditions under which Caesars may settle, refund, recalculate, or otherwise modify eligible wagers impacted by a qualifying Injury Protection Event.
2. "Injury Protection Event" means a player injury occurring during the applicable sport-specific qualification window that results in the player being officially ruled out of the applicable event and not returning to participate in that event, as determined by Caesars.
3. For the avoidance of doubt, a player's departure from an event, failure to return to participation, or apparent injury shall not constitute an Injury Protection Event unless all applicable Injury Protection requirements have been satisfied as determined by Caesars.
4. "Eligible Market" means a wagering market specifically designated by Caesars as eligible for Injury Protection.
5. "Qualifying wager" means a wager placed on an Eligible Market that satisfies all requirements set forth in these terms and conditions.
6. "Officially ruled out" means a player being designated as unavailable to return to the applicable event by official league reporting, official event reporting, Caesars' designated data provider, or another source utilized by Caesars for settlement purposes.

How To Participate/Eligibility:

1. No opt-in is required. Injury Protection will automatically apply to eligible qualifying wagers placed on Eligible Markets designated by Caesars in its sole discretion. Qualifying wagers will display a shield icon with “This bet is covered by Injury Protection” in the bet slip.
2. Eligible wagers will be reviewed automatically. Participants are not required to submit a claim, request review, or contact Customer Support to receive Injury Protection.
3. Caesars may designate specific markets, sports, leagues, wager types, events, or customer groups as eligible or ineligible for Injury Protection in its sole discretion.
4. Unless expressly designated by Caesars, Injury Protection applies only to eligible player-based wagering markets and does not apply to team-based markets, moneyline wagers, spreads, totals, alternate lines, futures, or other market types.
5. Live wagers may qualify for Injury Protection if otherwise eligible. Any live wager placed after the time of the applicable Injury Protection Event, as determined by Caesars based on its designated settlement sources, shall not be eligible for Injury Protection. Caesars shall determine, in its sole discretion, the timing of any Injury Protection Event and the timing of any wager using official data feeds, league reporting, sportsbook records, trading information, or other sources deemed reliable by Caesars. Such determinations shall be final and binding for Injury Protection eligibility and settlement purposes.
6. To determine a player’s injury status, Caesars shall rely upon official league reports, official event sources, data providers, trading information, sportsbook records, publicly available information, or other sources deemed reliable by Caesars. In the event of conflicting information, Caesars may rely upon any source it deems reliable for settlement purposes. Caesars is under no obligation to utilize any specific data source.
7. Injury Protection does not create any entitlement to reimbursement, refund, or promotional benefit except as expressly stated herein.

How Injury Protection Works:

1. Straight Bet Settlement Rules: Where a qualifying straight wager contains an eligible selection impacted by a qualifying Injury Protection Event, Caesars will refund the stake associated with the qualifying straight wager as follows:
   1. Cash Wagers: If the qualifying straight wager was placed using cash, Caesars will refund the stake associated with the qualifying wager to the participant's Caesars Sportsbook account in cash or as an equivalent account adjustment, as determined by Caesars.
   2. Bonus Bets: If the qualifying straight wager was placed using a Bonus Bet, Caesars will return the Bonus Bet, issue a replacement Bonus Bet or issue an alternative promotional benefit, as determined by Caesars. Any Bonus Bet issued pursuant to Injury Protection shall be subject to all applicable Bonus Bet limitations and conditions. Any reinstated Bonus Bet shall remain subject to the original expiration date unless otherwise determined by Caesars.
   3. Reward Credits: If the qualifying straight wager was placed using a Reward Credits, Caesars will restore the Reward Credits used for the wager or provide an equivalent account adjustment, as determined by Caesars. Any restored Reward Credits shall remain subject to all applicable Caesars Rewards Terms and Conditions, including expiration, forfeiture, and redemption restrictions.
2. Parlay Recalculation Rules: Where a qualifying parlay contains one or more selections impacted by a qualifying Injury Protection Event, Caesars will remove the impacted selections and recalculate the wager in accordance with standard sportsbook settlement procedures, including applicable Same Game Parlay settlement rules. Any recalculated odds, payout amounts, or settlement adjustments shall be determined by Caesars. If all parlay legs are impacted by a qualifying Injury Protection Event, Caesars will refund the stake associated with the qualifying parlay wager in accordance with the Straight Bet Settlement Rules set forth above.
3. Profit Boosts: Where Caesars determines that a qualifying Injury Protection Event impacts a qualifying straight wager placed using a Profit Boost, Caesars will restore the Profit Boost, issue a new Profit Boost, or provide an alternative promotional benefit in its sole discretion. Any reinstated Profit Boost shall remain subject to all original wager limits, maximum winnings, expiration provisions, and promotional restrictions.

Sport-Specific Eligibility Rules:

1. Pro Football: A wager containing an eligible Pro Football player selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:

• The player is injured during the first half of the game;
• The player is officially ruled out for the remainder of the game; and
• The player does not subsequently return to participate in the game.

1. NBA: A wager containing an eligible NBA player selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:

• The player is injured during the first half of the game;
• The player is officially ruled out for the remainder of the game; and
• The player does not subsequently return to participate in the game.

1. WNBA:

• A wager containing an eligible WNBA player selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:
• The player is injured during the first quarter;
• The player is officially ruled out for the remainder of the game; and
• The player does not subsequently return to participate in the game.

1. MLB Pitchers:
   • A wager containing an eligible MLB starting pitcher selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:
   • The starting pitcher throws at least one pitch;
   • The starting pitcher leaves the game due to injury before recording three outs;
   • The starting pitcher is unable to return to the game; and
   • Caesars determines that the departure resulted from a qualifying Injury Protection Event.
   • Caesars shall have sole authority to determine whether a starting pitcher's departure from a game occurred due to injury and qualifies as an Injury Protection Event.
2. MLB Batters:

• A wager containing an eligible MLB starting batter selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:
• The starting batter records at least one plate appearance;
• The starting batter leaves due to injury before a second plate appearance;
• The starting batter does not return to participate in the game; and
• Caesars determines that the departure resulted from a qualifying Injury Protection Event.
• Caesars shall have sole authority to determine whether a starting batter's departure from a game occurred due to injury and qualifies as an Injury Protection Event.

1. NHL:
   • A wager containing an eligible NHL player selection may qualify for Injury Protection only if:
   • The player is injured during the first period; and
   • The player does not return to participate in the game.
2. Tennis:
   • Injury Protection is limited to Match Betting – Full Match markets designated by Caesars.
   • Injury Protection applies only to Match Betting - Full Match wagers on Grand Slam events specifically designated by Caesars.
   • Caesars reserves the right to manually review and determine eligibility for all tennis Injury Protection claims.
3. Golf:

• Injury Protection may apply only to designated player-based major championship markets identified by Caesars as eligible for Injury Protection.
• A wager may qualify only if the player withdraws due to injury before the commencement of Round 2.

Exceptions and Exclusions:

1. Cash Out Exclusion: Any wager that has been fully settled through the Cash Out feature before the occurrence of the Injury Protection Event shall not qualify for Injury Protection. Any wager that has been partially settled through any Cash Out functionality before the occurrence of the Injury Protection Event may be excluded from Injury Protection eligibility as determined by Caesars.
2. Return-To-Play Exclusion: Injury Protection shall not apply if an impacted player subsequently returns to participate in the applicable event following the injury. Any participation by the player following the injury or alleged Injury Protection Event, regardless of duration, shall render the selection ineligible for Injury Protection.
3. Pre-Game Inactive Exclusion: Injury Protection shall not apply to players scratched, declared inactive, unavailable, or announced as out prior to the commencement of the applicable event.
4. Suspension and Ejection Exclusion: Injury Protection shall not apply to suspensions, ejections, disciplinary removals, or similar circumstances.
5. Coaching Decision Exclusion: Injury Protection shall not apply to benchings, coaching decisions, load management decisions, rest decisions, or other participation decisions unrelated to injury.
6. Non-Injury Absence Exclusion: Injury Protection shall not apply to any absence not caused by a qualifying injury.
7. Previously Settled Selection Exclusion: Injury Protection applies only to selections that have not already been determined, won, lost, graded, settled, or otherwise resolved before the occurrence of the Injury Protection Event. Any selection already settled prior to the Injury Protection Event shall remain settled according to normal sportsbook rules.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Caesars shall have sole discretion regarding Injury Protection eligibility, identification of Eligible Markets, determination of Injury Protection Events, settlement methodology, reimbursement methodology, recalculation methodology, and issuance of promotional benefits.
2. Caesars reserves the right to manually review any wager, market, event, player status determination, injury determination, settlement result, reimbursement, recalculation, or Injury Protection claim.
3. Caesars reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, expand, restrict, or discontinue Injury Protection at any time, subject to applicable law and regulatory approval where required. Caesars may alter sport-specific eligibility windows, Eligible Markets, settlement procedures, reimbursement procedures, and qualification requirements at any time.
4. Injury Protection reimbursements, recalculations, and promotional adjustments may take up to two (2) business days following settlement of the applicable event. Where manual review or investigation is required, settlement and promotional adjustments may take longer than two business days.
5. Caesars reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Injury Protection at any time, subject to applicable law and regulatory approval requirements.
6. Injury Protection is a promotional feature only, has no cash value, and is not transferable.
7. For purposes of these terms and conditions, the “Promotion Entities” means Caesars, Caesars’ parent and each of Caesars’ affiliated and subsidiary companies, along with each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, and agents.
8. The Promotion Entities are not responsible for typos or other errors, whether technical or human. Caesars reserves the right to correct any Injury Protection award, reimbursement, recalculation, settlement, or promotional adjustment issued due to an error, technical malfunction, trading error, data error, or other mistake.
9. All decisions regarding the interpretation of these terms and conditions for this promotion, including eligibility or disqualification decisions, lie solely with Caesars whose decisions are final and binding.
10. Promotion is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, including gaming regulations, and all aspects of the promotion are subject to the approval of appropriate regulatory authorities, when required. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
11. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of a promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and Caesars reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Caesars reserves the right to disqualify any participant from Injury Protection eligibility for violations of these terms and conditions, sportsbook rules, promotional rules, or applicable law.
13. Caesars may deny, void, reverse, withhold, or adjust any Injury Protection benefit where Caesars determines that a participant engaged in fraud, abuse, collusion, arbitrage betting, bonus abuse, manipulation of promotional offers, or any conduct intended to circumvent these terms and conditions.
14. Caesars reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, reschedule or suspend the promotion at any time, subject to any required regulatory approval.
15. By participating in this promotion, each participant agree on behalf of participant and participant’s heirs, executors, and administrators (a) to release and hold harmless, to the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promotion Entities and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from your participation in the promotion; and (b) to be bound by these terms and conditions and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error therein or in the promotion itself, and to be bound by all decisions of Caesars, which are binding and final.
16. Records relating to Injury Protection determinations may be retained in accordance with Caesars' legal and regulatory obligations.
17. Any personal information collected from participants will be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy policy.

ADDITIONAL REGULATORY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

AZ

• Wagering will not be accepted on “Prohibited sporting events” as defined by Arizona Revised Statute 5-1315 and no such events will be included in the Promotion. 
• The Company Accounting Department will review the Patron Account Adjustment report for Rewards Credit adjustments in accordance with Arizona R19-4-135. 
• Any questions or disputes concerning the interpretation of these rules or situations not covered by these rules will be resolved by Caesars Management and that decision shall be final and binding on all Participants. If the Participant is not satisfied with the results of Managements decision, the Participant will have the option to seek resolution with the Arizona Department of Gaming. 
• This Promotion is being conducted in accordance with Arizona R19-4-136 & Arizona R16-4-137. 
• Wagers placed at a Caesars retail location do not qualify for this Promotion.

Wagering will not be accepted on a “Prohibited sports event” and no such events will be included in the Promotion.

Wagering will not be accepted on “Prohibited sporting events” as defined by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (the “I.R.G.C.”) pursuant to 2019 Iowa Acts, Senate File 617, 13.1(99F), and no such events will be included in the Promotion. 

The Caesars Accounting Department will review the Patron Account Adjustment report for Bonus Bet adjustments in accordance with Iowa Code section (99D.19(3), 99E.8(4), and 99F.12(4))

Wagering will not be accepted on a minor league sports event, a sports event involving an Illinois collegiate team, or any other prohibited sports events as defined by the Illinois Gaming Board (“IGB”) pursuant to 230 ILCS 45/25-25 and no such events will be included in the Promotion.

Any questions or disputes concerning the interpretation of these rules or situations not covered by these rules will be resolved by Caesars, and that decision shall be final and binding on all Participants. In accordance with Missouri Gaming Commission’s Rule 11 CSR 45-20.360, wagering on prohibited events shall not be included in this promotion. 

Any questions or disputes concerning the interpretation of these rules or situations not covered by these rules will be resolved by Caesars Management and that decision shall be final and binding on all Participants.

This Promotion is being conducted in accordance with 11 CSR 45-20.570.

• Wagering will not be accepted on any events that have not been approved by the Commission, and no such events will be included in the Promotion pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat § 18C-904.
• The Caesars Accounting Department will review the Patron Account Adjustment report for Rewards Credit adjustments in accordance with NCSLC Rule 1G-011.
• Any questions or disputes concerning the interpretation of these rules or situations not covered by these rules will be resolved by Caesars Management and that decision shall be final and binding on all Participants. If the Participant is not satisfied with the results of Caesars’ decision, the Participant will have the option to seek resolution with the North Carolina State Lottery Commission (the “NCSCL”)
