Each savory bowl of Mrs. Phi’s Pho is like getting a warm hug served with a side of familial comfort. A Vietnamese American who—lucky for us—relocated to New Orleans from San Diego, Mrs. Phi raised and nourished her nine children through her home cooking. She is a self-taught cook and is known to inject her soul into each dish. What’s her secret to cooking delicious food? “No secret,” she says, “just cook with love.”
