A spread wager on LAR would win if LAR won by 4 or more points, while a San Francisco +3.5 wager would win if San Francisco won outright or lost by 3 points or fewer. In a pick’em, neither team receives points.

Moneyline

A moneyline wager is based on which team wins the game outright. Favorites carry negative odds, while underdogs carry positive odds. For example, odds of -320 indicate that a $320 wager would return $100 in winnings if successful, plus the original stake. Odds of +250 indicate that a $100 wager would return $250 in winnings if successful, plus the original stake.

Total (over/under)

The total represents the listed combined score for both teams. A wager is settled based on whether the final combined score finishes over or under that number. Tampa Bay at Cincinnati has the highest listed Week 1 total at 50.5, while NYJ at Tennessee has the lowest at 38.5.

Reading the vig

The number next to a spread or total, like -110, represents the price of that wager. At -110, a $110 wager would return $100 in winnings if successful, plus the original stake.

NFL Season Opener: New England at Seattle, September 9
