Key Takeaways

  • Walkability is an important characteristic to consider when choosing a Las Vegas resort
  • Paris Las Vegas is located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, within walking distance of Caesars Entertainment resorts, restaurants, shows, and attractions
  • Interior walkways connect Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, while nearby pedestrian bridges make it easier to cross busy Strip intersections

In Las Vegas, location is an important factor when choosing a hotel. Paris Las Vegas sits in the Center Strip area, placing guests near other resorts, restaurants, shows, nightlife, and attractions. Its central location is one reason it works as a walkable home base, but interior connections, pedestrian bridges, and a relatively easy-to-navigate layout also help guests explore the surrounding area.

Walkability Is About More Than Distance

Walkability is an important characteristic of any destination. Exploring on foot can help visitors experience the energy of a new place while moving between hotels, restaurants, shows, and attractions. With a centrally located home base, several destinations may be within a relatively short walk. This is especially relevant in Las Vegas, where choosing the right section of the Strip can affect how much time you spend walking or using transportation.

Walkability extends beyond geographic centrality. In Las Vegas, interior property connections and pedestrian bridges can help guests avoid busy street crossings. Paris Las Vegas benefits from both. Interior walking paths connect Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, while nearby pedestrian bridges provide access toward The Vanderpump Hotel and Caesars Palace.

Another aspect of walkability is how easily guests can move from their room to restaurants, attractions, and the Strip. The route varies by tower and room location. Guests staying in the Versailles Tower can use the indoor connection through Horseshoe Las Vegas, while guests in the Bordeaux Tower can access the main Paris Las Vegas casino, restaurants, and Strip entrance without leaving the resort.

What Can You Reach on Foot From Paris Las Vegas?

Center Strip is by far the most accessible area of the Las Vegas Strip, since it’s right in the middle. This segment is home to some of the most iconic hotels, the most impressive architecture, and the highest concentration of restaurants, shows, and nightlife. Paris Las Vegas is located here, and it is one of the Las Vegas Strip hotels close to everything.

Specifically, Paris Las Vegas is located directly south of Horseshoe Las Vegas and directly north of Planet Hollywood. Both resorts are no more than a five-minute walk from Paris Las Vegas. When walking to Horseshoe, Paris Las Vegas guests don’t even need to go outside—an interior walkway connects the two hotels.

Moving farther afield, casinos such as The Vanderpump Hotel, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Caesars Palace are each about 10 minutes away, and require crossing Las Vegas Boulevard by pedestrian bridge or crosswalk.

Expanding the map even more, Paris Las Vegas is about a 15-minute walk from Flamingo Las Vegas, The LINQ, and Harrah’s Las Vegas.

How Paris Las Vegas Reduces Walking Friction

One of the most convenient destinations from Paris Las Vegas is Horseshoe Las Vegas, its neighbor to the north. Interior walking paths connect the properties, allowing guests to move between the resorts without returning to Las Vegas Boulevard.

The Paris Skybridge spans 253 feet, including an 82-foot section that crosses a service road between the properties. The bridge connects the main Paris Las Vegas resort with the Versailles Tower, which became part of Paris Las Vegas after its renovation. It also provides access to the casino, restaurants, attractions, and amenities at Horseshoe Las Vegas.

The Versailles Tower includes select rooms with open-air balconies and Strip views. Balcony availability and sightlines vary by room category, so guests should review the room description before booking. The tower’s elevator access is located near the Horseshoe Las Vegas registration area, and an interior path connects it with the main Paris Las Vegas property.

Other convenient destinations from Paris Las Vegas include the Bellagio, which is reached by a pedestrian bridge that spans Las Vegas Boulevard; and The Vanderpump Hotel, which is reached by a different pedestrian bridge that spans Flamingo Road. These bridges are open 24/7 and enable guests to cross busy streets without having to worry about vehicle traffic down below. A third bridge that spans Las Vegas Boulevard in front of The Vanderpump Hotel links visitors with Caesars Palace. With Flamingo Las Vegas, the LINQ, and Harrah’s also within easy walking distance, guests can stay at Paris Las Vegas and access a half-dozen resorts, all without leaving the Caesars Rewards ecosystem.

Why Paris Las Vegas Is Easy to Navigate

In and of itself, Paris Las Vegas is one of the easiest Las Vegas Strip resorts to navigate. Out front, the Eiffel Tower—a half-scale replica rising 540 feet—is a literal landmark that functions as a visual anchor to help you orient yourself anywhere on the central Strip. (It also has a great restaurant about halfway up.) The fountain view from Mon Ami Gabi’s patio also doubles as a wayfinding cue. It’s no wonder that patio is one of the most popular places in Las Vegas for brunch and dinner.

Inside, the “feet” of the Eiffel Tower and Paris Las Vegas’ themed streetscape and architectural replicas of the Arc de Triomphe and the façade of the Louvre museum create an intuitive navigation experience. Replica cobblestone streets lead from the main entrance to the main elevator banks and restaurants like The Bedford by Martha Stewart, and Vanderpump à Paris. Follow those “stones” and you end up at the interior walkway connecting Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas.

When Walking From Paris Las Vegas May Not Be the Best Option

While Paris Las Vegas is the best Center Strip resort to walk to other hotel casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, walking times and general walkability can vary depending on crowds and season.

In summer, when high temperatures can regularly reach 110 degrees, all open-air/outside walks take longer because everyone is moving more slowly. It’s wise to allow an extra five to ten minutes to get around. These outdoor walks can also take a lot out of you, which is why it’s important to bring water and stay hydrated—even if you’re limiting exposure to the sun. One way to minimize these risks is to use climate-controlled bridge and casino corridors to limit exposure to the hot desert air.

On weekends, there’s always lots of congestion near the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of the Horseshoe Las Vegas, near the access points to the pedestrian bridges that connect Bellagio and Paris Las Vegas, and Horseshoe Las Vegas with The Vanderpump Hotel. One way to avoid foot traffic on the narrow sidewalk of Las Vegas Boulevard is to go from Paris Las Vegas to Horseshoe Las Vegas through the interior corridors that connect the resorts.

It’s also worth noting that during special events such as Formula 1, a lot of spectators make getting anywhere on the Las Vegas Strip difficult. It’s a good idea to add 30 minutes (or more!) to walking times during this annual race.

Why Paris Las Vegas Is One of the Best Walking Bases on the Strip

Much like its namesake city, Paris Las Vegas works as a base for exploring on foot. The resort’s Center Strip location places guests near other Caesars Entertainment resorts, restaurants, shows, nightlife, and attractions.

Its walkability is supported by the interior connections with Horseshoe Las Vegas, the Paris Skybridge, nearby pedestrian bridges, and access to the Horseshoe/Paris Las Vegas Monorail station. Walking times vary, but guests can plan several Center Strip experiences without relying on a car for every trip.
